Help!: Tracing of track drifts off course in"print" screen

Not a big, big deal, but when requesting a 'print' of a selected course, the map & imposed run course show a shift such that the 'run' drifts onto water, or seems to cut across the road twice {where in fact it actually follows an asphalt road-path well off the marked, car-traveled, street}.  It looks better on the retrieved saved map, but the print is skewed off course consistently.  Specific example: "IOW loop- Way Back Bay" in San Diego, the portion along Sea World drive ends up on the wrong side of the road.    Thoughts from those more gifted? -b
