Hi,

I'm running 4 times a week (30 minutes) since three months.

Sunday I did my first competition and finish the 5k in 27 min.

I want to reduce my time to 22-23 min at the end of the summer. Is it realist ?

DO you know a program on the net for that ?

Thanks

you should check the other topic on this:

http://www.mapmyrun.com/community/discussion/4387/first-ever-race/

I personally think the end of summer is too short to accomplish that, but I don't know how fast you can improve. Just keep running and plan in small testraces (like a cooper test) every 6 weeks or so. That way, you quickly get an idea of your improvements and if you're able to meet your goals.

Good luck!

I know this is an older post, but here is my opinion. Yes, you can run that by the end of the summer, if you train right. I went last year from running a 27 in early august to running a 23 in mid october. Good luck!
