I wanted to jump in and introduce myself, as I am a new ‘poster’ to this forum!  My name is Donna, and as noted, my forum name is bridgerunner.  I live in St. Petersburg, FL.  I am a Process Analyst Officer for a local financial company, and I do attend school part time.  I coach one of the communities cheerleading squads along with my 15-year-old daughter, and I have a wonderful husband of 17 years.

I do consider myself a ‘casual’ runner for about 11 years now.  I say ‘casual’ because I am not out to win any races, I run at my own pace, and yes, I am very guilty of taking walk breaks during my runs.  I have run two marathons in the past three years, and I am currently training for my third marathon upcoming this November.

If this is a more serious running forum, please let me know, and I’ll move on.  If this is a forum that welcomes all runners at varies levels of abilities, then I would love to hang around  Smile!

Ok, I guess new participants are not welcomed here.  That is sad.

    Hello Donna,

I am new to the running world.  I am a casual runner, running only when I have to :-).  I started my work out a few weeks ago but it has been few and far in between.  So today I decided that I have to commit and started by running an easy pace on the treadmil for 30 min.  I am training for a 10 mile race, I am not looking to win but I want to finish and still function after the run.  Wish me luck! If you have a good running plan for a beginner who wants to run 10 miles please share.
