Running Routes: Running in Shreveport, LA

    I am headed to Shreveport this weekend and am looking for a decent run (8-10 miles).  Are there any runs that are not just through neighborhoods and not right along the highway (I'm thinking of the Clyde Fant trail)?  I haven't been to Shreveport since they built the riverfront area on the Bossier side, so if anyone has info on that area and if it is okay for running, that would be helpful too.  Any other nice trails in or near Shreveport?  Thanks.

    Clyde Fant is pretty good.  It is 5 miles long, and marked every quarter mile.  There is parking at either end.  On the Bossier side the trail goes from just south of Diamond Jack's down to the Centry Tel Center.  You can park at various parks along the route, but I don't think there is one at either end.  It is not marked for mileage.
