The seams in my shirts chaffe on my inner arm.  I have heard people use vaseline, but I don't think that'll work.  Should I tape my arm or are there seamless shirts out there (and underclothes)?

Thanks for any tips or jargon I should look for.

Body Glide-best product out there for chaffing (if you can't find a seamless shirt that will work)

You can use all the latest specialty clothing and socks, but there will be a day when you experience chaffing, and blisters.I have seen people ( 24 Hours Of Boulder ) who chaffed there nipples so bad blood was showing through there shirt, and blisters so bad blood had soaked through there shoes. Most marathons I have ran provide Vaseline at some if not all the aid stations, and it dose work, but there are no aid stations when you are out on a long training run. I have found what works well for me is Medicated ChapStick. You can carry it with you when ever you run, and apply it while running. Even applying it to hot spots on your feet will only take a minute, and you can make that up in a long race if your running comfortably without blisters.

I use duct tape for any trouble spots on my long runs (nips and feet.... at least before I found my blister-free shoes, mainly). It sticks well, is super cheap, and I'm not allergic to it (a lot of athletic tape contains latex, so they're out for me). I would try any solution you intend to use well before an event that matters!
