Full Description

The Texas Independence Relay is 203.12 miles that is divided into 40 relay legs. Teams of 8-12 people (your choice!) will tackle the challenge of tracing the route of Texas independence from the location of the first shot of the revolution (Gonzales) to the place where victory was secured (the San Jacinto Battleground and Monument)!

Distance 1.15 mi.

Prologue - 1.15m rectangular (flat) loop starting from the Memorial Museum in Gonzales (which is the home of the Come And Take It Cannon) that Texas Independence Relay teams run together to celebrate what they are setting out to do!

 

Distance 4.26 mi.

Leg 1 - The first runner continues running after the prologue to do this first 4.26m leg out of Gonzales. This leg has a few rolling hills.
