Begin at Ocean and Paloma Avenues. Head north on Palmona and then turn west on 1st Street. Take 1st to Junipero and turn south on Junipero. Cross Ocean Avenue and take the Junipero hill down to the bike path along the beach. BEWARE: It is about an 80 foot incline from the top of the hill to the bottom. Easy going down, not so easy going up. Once you're down the hill turn east and find the bike path. Take the bike path east along the beach until you reach the restrooms opposite the stairs at Coronado Avenue. Turn around and retrace your steps, including that nice 80 foot climb up the hill.
