Description of this Run

Very uneven, soft sand for first 1.3km through trail & dunes starting from car park just off Elanora Ave. From here return along the beach & hop up onto Tumby Bay Esplanade once you pass the start car park again. Continue onto the Tumby Jetty for a 3.2km event. Otherwise go onto the Tumby Caravan Park (& return to the Jetty for a 5km event). Go past the Caravan Pk & playground & turn right onto McCallum Tce. Follow this road until you get to the Causeway & turn left toward Tumby Island. Just before the T intersection, cross the road & enter the Mangrove trail. Follow this beyond the hut as far as you can then turn left onto dirt track & return to closest sealed road (Berryman?). Continue due East to the foreshore & descend onto the beach via the closest walking ramp. Splash your face with cool ocean water & retrace your steps precisely all the way back to the Tumby Jetty via the Mangrove Trail for a well deserved 10km Trail run
