Description of this Run

The first annual HowardCenter¹s Zoe¹s Race was held on August 30, 2009. The idea for the race came about when Erika Nestor, mother of then-6-year-old Zoe, began to renovate her home to accommodate her daughter, who was left severely disabled in a near-drowning when she was18 months old. As Zoe grew, she became dependent on a wheelchair, which was difficult to maneuver in a home with stairs and standard-sized doorways.
