Description of this Run

Directions To Start: Turn at the AIB Bank on Main St., Blessington. Continue out of village to the bridge and turn right on to bridge. Drive over bridge and turn left. Continue out this road to the first right turn and take this turn. Go up this lane way and you are faced with a smaller laneway infront of you (If you turn left here there is some parking on the right). This small lane is the start of the trail run. There is a gate about 30m from the road which will need to be closed and another one about 200m later. Continue on trail to a Y junction and keep right. As you start to climb in the woods you come to a couple of junctions and need to keep left at the first and right at the second. From here it is just a matter of keeping on the main trail. This is an out and back trail but it is beautiful and worth the effort. There is an option to exit the trail onto the Gap road, at the point you turn back. Turning left onto the Gap road and then keeping left at the next two junction will bring you back to Woodend along roads.
