Run Description
Spectacular and hard trail run through the depths of the Wild Basin of RMNP. Most of the actual trail is runnable while the off-trail portions (about 4 miles in total) are an easy hike. Third-class (scrambling) required for a little bit on Mt. Alice's north ridge. Nothing the average runner can't handle. The views from the top of 13,310' Mt. Alice are awesome, and the long downhill stretch from Thunder Lake to the TH is exhilarating. Just steep enough to keep you moving, just rocky enough to keep you focused.

Awesome! Any longer would begin to be un-fun, but this was great throughout. GPS distance gives closer to 17 miles and 4800' of gain/loss.
